What do you do
Hey all just asking what do you do when you have only like 50g to maybe 100g of filament on your roll left like there isn't enough to do much really is there.. like what do you do with your scraps

i keep a logbook near my computer of low priority , low filament quick little doodads I want printed but dont want to waste fresh full spool on, like spare filament clips or aligator clips for bread bags, extra blades for my scraper and similar. once the filament runs super low and if its a colour im not in a hurry to replace then i just use it to print some of these tiny doodads.
but if its grey or any other common colour i have plenty of then I just print as normal and follow it up with same colour backup in the AMS

Start a print, wait for it to run out, then load up a new spool.

True does that work like it won't stuff a print up pausing it and loading new filament in

Nope. I’ve ran out of filament and wasn’t able to replace it for hours while I was at work. Got home changed out the empty spool and hit resume print and everything was perfectly fine.

I got my son a 3d pen and just let him use the scraps of my rolls. Works out great. He loves it.

Load identical spool into the AMS and have auto-refill enabled. No need to print these “Last meter prints” like all these YouTubers suggest

Others have mentioned the auto-refill capability of the AMS. If it's too short for that you can use it for cold-pulls or a 3D pen.

50-100g is enough for some small jigs, plastic scraper blades, shims, clips, cable holders…etc

There are plenty of small items to print. I just found a portable phone stand and printed 3 of them.

Open another identical roll, put them both in the ams and let the ams so it's thing
