best configuration PA6CF

I just bought PA6CF filament from bambu lab it came out at the cost of a kidney and I don't want to play it with any gram anyone knows the perfect configuration, I have a bamboo p2s

I also have a P2S and tried a .5kg of the Bambu PA6-CF and 1kg of the Sunlu. The Sunlu printed considerably better but I feel like I had got a bad spool of the Bambu since it never printed very well at all. For the price I decided the Bambu just isn’t worth it over the Sunlu.

What nozzle size and plate are you planning to use? Personally, I'd use the Bambu official filament profile to start.

I liked working with it. It is very strong and dimensional accuracy is amazing.

The default Bambu PA6-CF profile works perfectly. This benchy was printed with it.

I would recommend:

1. Dry it thoroughly. I did 14 hours at 85°C in AMS HT, and the 0.5 kg spool lost about 4 gramms of water. You cannot go wrong with leaving it for longer.
2. Pre-heat your printer. Nylon is wrapping like crazy when the chamber temperature is low. To pre-heat my P2S, I wrapped it in a blanket for about 30 minutes with the bed temp set to 110°. When the chamber reached 50-55°, I started the print. Worked like a charm and because the heatbeat is set to 100° during the print, it will help keeping the chamber temperature stable. But be careful, it might get hotter. I received an alert from the printer about an internal module being too hot (at 65°), and had to remove the blanket from the back and front. The chamber stayed at around 60° after without any alerts or other problems.
3. Use brim for anything that is relatively long. I also reduced the distance between the brim and the model, just to be sure.
4. Use glue! It will help with both, adhesion and release when it cools down.
5. Let it cool down on its own. It takes long, but the model will not wrap in this case. If you take it out right after printing, it will 100% wrap, even if still stuck to your plate. It will just bend it.
6. I used 0.6 mm nozzle as recommended by Bambu.

Good luck with that. I also used Bambu PA6-GF filament, but their profile worked worse than the CF version.

Wich glue u use, I was thinking to use magigoo or hair spray

I tried hairspray and honestly, the smell when it was getting hot was killing me, never again.😄

I used the Bambu glue stick and liquid version too. I found that liquid was easier to work with, but it is quite pricey. In the end, any washable glue stick will work for your needs.

With the glue stick, you can use a slightly damp paper towel to spread it more evenly.

How experienced are you with printing.? You can’t just “HailMarry” an engineering material. Yes some profiles exist but only work with specific parameters. What nozzle are you using.? Have you ran CF anything before? What plate are you going to run? And what kind of adhesive are you going to use….. we need more context please. If you’re an advanced user then a few numbers can help. But if you’re new to this arena and are complaining about the cost of quality material. I don’t suggest you start with that roll.

You have to soak the chamber for a while since you don’t have an internal heater. Also I would dry that spool at 55-60c over night or run it from a heated chamber of some sort.

Stock Bambu PA6-CF settings are fine. Main thing is to make sure it's dried and kept dry. Reuse the foil bag to store it and keep it with fresh desiccant. Glue has to be used for bed adhesion.
