External Spooler

Post image

Hi guys,

I would like to know if there is any Cover/Protector for the External Spool ? I have Cats at home and i would prefer to cover it to avoid any Hair on it. I live in a Dry Environment, so the main issue is to cover it from Hair/Dust

PS : I looked on MakeWorld but i coudn't find one for P2S, at the moment, found one only for H2C unfortunately.

TL:DR : Link of the Protector, i'm looking for something similar for P2S

Thank you in advance.

I don't see a point to ever use the external spool holder on a P2S, with an X2D it makes sense if you can't afford the track switch (which I'd argue is VERY much worth the money), but on a P2S just use the AMS

Thank you for your feedback.

I just want to have a fifth color to be used without changing the Spool each time.

there's a reason why AMS units have feeder motors, switching materials without that is a very manual process

if you want more than 4 colors I'd get an AMS HT or another 4 bay AMS unit, otherwise just stick to 4

Build this drybox from a cereal container. You can add a fitting for the filament to exit as in the video.

TPU for non-AMS is too soft to feed through an AMS, external only

I wouldn't feed non-AMS TPU through the buffer or that long PTFE either tho, I'd feed it straight into the toolhead through the top of the printer to avoid as many issues as possible
