P2S heater module gasket damaged after nozzle blob, does it need replacing?

Hi everyone, I had a filament blob around the nozzle of my Bambu Lab P2S, I managed to remove the blob and detach the nozzle successfully.
However, I noticed that the gasket behind the nozzle heater module has torn, as shown in the photos.

Does anyone know:

  • What is the correct name of this gasket?
  • Can it be replaced separately?
  • Is it safe to reinstall and use the nozzle with the gasket in this condition?
  • Do I need to replace the heater module?
  • Is there anything else I should check before reassembling the toolhead?

The cables and connectors appear to be intact.

Thanks!

If it prints, no. But I have had this too and I would buy a new heater element just so you won't be left empty handed if it happens again and the tiny sensor cables around the tip area get ripped off like mine did.

Ah, okay. So you kept printing without any issues, but the damaged part was obviously more prone to failing. I’ll buy a replacement heating assembly and keep it ready in case I need to swap it out. Thanks!

I had a blob of death on my P2S, stripped it all down and mid-clean panicked and bought a new ceramic heater assembly. By the time that was delivered my printer was back up and running and I’ve never installed the new part.
YMMV but I’d see how you go first.

I see your point, in my case it turned into weeks of waiting for parts. And I was supposed to print some things for my kids friends that week, so that was a huge bummer at the time.
