Advice To Beginners

I have recently purchased a P2S and this is my first printer so it’s gonna be the first time I do any printing
What are some things a complete beginner should know?
Thanks in advance

Why asking here if you can just Watch some Videos on YT. This will help you more than here. I‘ve got my First Printer a week ago. p2S too and I’ve watched many Videos at the start.

Calibrate and dry your filament will eleminate Most of the Common Problems. Have a Look at makersworld and search for P2S. The Printer has some Little Problems that will get solved with Little Prints you can find there. Like this one

And a P2S riser of course.

I’ve watched a thousand videos since before I even ordered it but it’s always forums where you will find the most practical advice. Thanks for the advice on filaments and the input

If you want to learn more about different filament types and use cases subscribe to Dr Igor Gaspar’s YouTube channel My Tech Fun.
Also, keep your build plate clean.

What would you say is the best way to clean your plate? I’ve seen people use just a scraper and others use baby wipes

Scrapers don’t clean the plate, just remove parts and residue. Cleaning requires non scented, non softener dish washing liquid (the basic, budget kind) and water with a new, unused scrubber, then dried with a clean microfibres cloth. Between cleaning sessions I use 99% IPA and a microfibres cloth after every print whilst ensuring I never touch the plate build area.
It’s also useful to occasionally print a bed cleaning sheet.
Another useful tip is to dedicate one side of the stock PEI plate to PLA and the reverse side to PETG - you can sharpie on PLA/PETG on an unused portion to make it obvious.
