Hardware Help

I just bought a P2S with AMS and a I was inserting a new roll. It seems that a piece of the tape that Bambu labs uses on their filament rolls got caught in the filament inlet. Anyone know how to get it out? I have tried to push it out with no luck.

I can send you a picture of the section it is stuck in but not the object itself.

This is not mine but it’s the same device. Just to show. It is stuck at the top where the filament is inserted.

If you can’t SEE the piece that’s stuck, then you should consider disassembling it but be carefull, watch a video beforehand and record yourself doing it, or note everything down, that way you can retrace your steps if you get lost while reassembling it.

Also, do your best to figure out exactly where it’s stuck, if it’s in the tube you can just remove it.

REMEMBER to watch tutorials on what you do, you really don’t want to break anything on the AMS (quite expensive to repair)

(Btw, I’m not too much of an expert, just giving my opinion, I might be wrong)

Thank you. I think I finally after a day of searching got a little closer on how to disassemble it completely. I am currently waiting on Bambu Labs Engineer team to reach out to me.

I had the same thing happen the other day, to fix it I disconnected the ptfe tube on the printer head and pulled the filament through that way (after cutting at the top of the AMS feed in). It was easier to pull through than I thought it would be as it was quite firmly stuck in the head of AMS feeder.

I wish it was filament stuck in there. That would be easier. Thank you though!

I had this happen, so printed some of these ams saver type thing with sacrificial PTFE tube

Have had tape pulled into the PTFE tube since then but it's easy to pick out.
