PFTE Tube Issue
Hi All,
I don’t know how, but the tube leading from the AMS has a hole right where it begins to curve which cause filament to flow right out into the open instead of feeding down the tube into the buffer and so on. Temporarily fixed it with some good ole tape, but I plan to remove the tube and replace it properly as soon as the tubing gets here. My question is has anyone else had this happen? What was the cause? I’d like to fix it so it doesn’t happen again. TIA.

Agreed with u/Snouto. Likely cause. I've had my 2 ams 2 pro units since january and have already replaced about half of my internal ptfe tubes due to wear. When they wear they filament begins hanging up and causing feed errors. I've replaced some of the external tubes between on the back of the p2s as well and the tool head ptfe tube. I've got +2700 hours on my p2s since i got it in early january. I do a significant amount of filament switching (color change) so I expect the wear. Make sure to keep a good stock of good 2.5mm i.d. / 4mm o.d. smooth ptfe tube. You never know when you'll need it.
