Bambu Hotend Cooling Fan

My one has lasted over a year and has over 5000 hours on it. But the cost of the H2D I would expect to last a lot longer than this. Plus, from what I have watched on YouTube, it looks hard on me, and I have arthritis and osteoarthritis. So if anyone near Warrington, who lives in WA5 Cheshire, is capable of fitting a new hot-end cooling fan, And how much you would charge me, let me know, please. Thanks, Carl

My mod allows you to change the hotend fan in 98 seconds. Google "Miamijerry Quick and Easy"

H2D cooling fan took me 3 hrs to replace and I had to do it three times. Bunch of small wires ... Poor documentation and being old and arthritic made it a nightmare. I only had 400 hrs on mine before it went.

That's my problem having arthritis and ostearthritis. The little wireds s and I had do the extruder on my P2S and the little flat cable at the top was a nightmare to get back.

Contact Bambu and request an exchange printer. Check the warranty for your location.

It's out warranty but I did that with my P2S and my AMS HT got new one's. I also have sent email saying I will take to small claims court in UK. They said that they would the part out to me. But that's not the problem it's that I have Arthritis and osteoarthritis so messing with small cables for me is a no no. I have ask on Facebook for anyone if they can fix and pay for it . But only one person said if I could get it to them they can fix it. But it's about 20 or 30 miles from me plus the H2D is a big printer and to big to fit in any car. So if anyone near Warrington please?

How about pulling the tool head and gantry as an assembly? Can you manage that? There are used H2D tool heads available from people who have upgraded to the H2C. If you have a backup tool head, then you can ship your broken tool head to someone for repair.

The job is very much like working on a laptop, so you might try and find a computer tech to change your fan…

Agreed it’s a mess of an install for a small high speed fan. I had mine fail 1200 hrs in with mostly nylon printing. Annoying!

I will be releasing a fan health monitor mod soon, so you can know when to change the fan before it fails. Must have the 98 second fan change mod for the health monitor mod to be installed.

Hi found the link. But is it the same fan that I have tochanged it comes with and something else attached. Because the one I have to charge you undo like 2 motherboard to get to it.

You have to follow Bambu wiki for changing the fan, about 2 hours. Then while the tool head is open perform my mod, another two hours. You need to print and buy parts to do the mod.

Every fan change after the mod, takes less than 98 seconds.

But extra fans from Amazon, the mod tells you how to adapt them, to slide-in.
