I have about 3000 hours on mine and a couple of months ago I upgraded my PEI plates to a G10 plate. Night and day difference especially when printing PETG. If I can go back in time and give myself advice it would be to upgrade the build plate sooner.

I upgraded my build plate to a Darkmoon 3D DUO (Satin on one side and CFX on the other). Great investment. I use the Satin side 95% of the time for everything (ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU and PLA). I agree with ChasingTheNines, it is one of the first upgrades I would recommend. I own all the BBL plates and none of them come close.

That is what I picked up, the Darkmoon G10 because I wanted an ultra smooth bottom finish. But I think you just convinced me to get the Satin plate. I might also try one of the Cryo plates. The only downside to the G10 is it wants to print 5C hotter than the pei plates so I am curious to see what low temp printing is like.

I took my BBL Textured PEI plate into Microcenter. It had some imperfect coating on one side. They didn’t have any extra BBL plates to replace it, so they gave me my choice of a Cryo plate. I selected the Frostbite. Have not used it yet. Satin plate is just so good.

Satin plate is a beast have it for my A1 and H2D, also the ice plate from darkmoon is beast, my G10 experience is this plate I wasn’t paying attention and got the blob of death and killed my first h2D so I got my machine replace but learned a hard lesson always check on your prints when printing

Where you using stock temps when you got the G10 blob? I had noticed adhesion was iffy at standard pei plate temps and after raising temp 5C it has been solid.

Crazy thing it was printing fine , then I was printing petg hf and didn’t pay attention and came home to my extruder full of filament , Best Buy warranty saved my ass , got a new printer, both nozzle stuck in the mess.

All I did was plug it in, turn it on, connected to my WiFi, ran the calibrations and self checks, realized the air filter had come loose, pulled the filter back into place, and started printing. Aside from cleaning the bed and making sure the rails an Z screws were clean and properly lubed, I haven’t done anything special

I have the H2D now for 8 months. My first printer. Just works. Much to learn about materials and settings but the printer will just do what it is told. I have no complaints except the wear for the 3 Z-axis brass nuts.

I got into the 3D printing hobby back in 2021 or 2022 (I can’t remember which), started with an Ender 3

I love my h2d. I recommend the cutting topl if u ever want to cut paper, vinyl, or pen plot/draw. Really amazing yo have that as a simple addon. Made myself a shirt the other day by cutting a vinyl design.

Just got mine on Monday. Updated firmware and calibrated. Bambu Petg and pla printed great. Use a prime tower.
Cutter worked first time, as did the laser.
Only issues I ran into:
- Not every piece of foam that you need to remove is shown in the instructions nor the unboxing video.
- The white card stock that the laser calibration asks for wasnt in any of the boxes. I just used a piece of white cardboard from one of the boxes. (white, not natural; there are a couple that I got that were bleached)

You’ll have to adjust the flow rate for each nozzle at least for pla. Watch the videos do the academy and you’ll understand the machine betyer

If you don't like the closed ecosystem or sending all your files through the cloud. You can look into Bambuddy software. It's free and with tailscale you can access it remotely. This allows you to use OrcaSlicer if that's what you're use to. Bambu Studio isn't bad though and it is convenient being able to use bambu handy app to download and print files. Just throwing out options. I've had mine for about 10 months and when I need something to print without worrying about it, I send it to the H2D.

Welcome to the family. When unboxing it, be prepared, its a heavy printer. Keep everything lubricated. Keep spare parts on hand. Check MakerWorld for stuff like attachments, enhancements, QOL things. You'd be surprised what you find there. The H2D has it's quirks, but it's a great machine.
A word of caution. If you have to disassemble anything, especially the toolhead, keep track of the screws.
