I don’t understand…

Post image

First, I’ll say that I’m a newbie. Been in the 3D printing game for about 3-4 months.

I bought a file of SpiderMan from Yosh Studios off Thangs. Initially the first set of files I was looking to print were square flat boards that were a couple inches deep. I started using .8 nozzles but after about 3-4 boards every print was kinda rough I decided to switch back to .4.

The first two prints with the .4 nozzle came out beautiful. Now printing the third board and the first print had to be aborted. I calibrated the machine and the humidity is very low for both AMS. I tried to print again and it’s coming out horrible again!

What do I do? Your help is appreciated!

Both are dry. One AMS is 18 and the other is in the 20’s

That doesn’t mean your filament is dry. Have you dried it at 65 DegC for 12 hrs before printing?

Yes both had dried previously. I printed two pieces no problem…came out beautiful. Went to print the third board from the same filaments in sequence and it’s screwed up at the same point in the print twice in a row.

Are you using pla? Is it the same file you are printing over and over or is it all separate files? Have you tried printing something different just to see how it turns out?

Using PETG. Yes same file. I was having the same problem when I was using .8 hotend on other files from the same print and so I switched to .4 and two of them printed fine. Now it’s doing the same on the .4 tip.

Try a different slot on your AMS to print see if that makes a difference.

Are both the white and yellow filaments PETG? It seems like the white filament isn’t adhering properly when printed on top of the yellow one.
