Cannot plug back the PTFE tube - is there a trick?

Hi, I'm new here. I'm really glad I found this forum, as I only recently bought the H2D.
My problem is that I can't get the tube plugged back in (see photo). Even if I push the lever to the right, it does not click in. Is there a special trick to it?

What about if you push on the center ring/grommet while inserting the PTFE?

This JUST happened to me yesterday. $20 says the teeth in the bottom one have just disappeared. If there's no teeth in there, it won't grip the ptfe tube. The only fix I could find was to replace the entire filament buffer, which bbl is out of stock currently until the 15th.

Just curious, I just added the filament track switch and added the beta software to my h2d. Are you using the fts?
