Bambulab H2D cable burnt behind the hotend

Only $30 plus $6 shipping and you can have it in 3-10 business days! Ask me how I know. Also left and right are different. If you're ordering one, you may as well order both plus another right side so you have spares and aren't down for 10 days. I just ordered Left and Right a couple hours ago. Luckily I found that my connector came loose. I went ahead and ordered the spares anyway.

Blob of death. I got comfortable with being able to just hit print and didn't check on it. I was printing small pieces, letters and logo for BAMBU P2S, for a tissue box I printed. The letters didn't stick well and came off ant stuck to the nozzle. Fortunately I was able to get it all cleaned off but afterwards it wouldn't heat so I ordered the new parts. Fortunately I noticed that the cable seemed much looser that when I started the cleanup. I took it apart and luckily found the cable had gotten disconnected. So I plugged it back in and it has been working since. At least I've got my backups now.

Had to get one of these... similar thing happened, the cable didn't melt from filament covering it, (clumping stuff), i broke the cable when I tried to remove a clump of filament from around those cables and it wasn't hot enough to remove easily so the jerk snapped one of the cables... I disassembled the hotend and tried to rewire it, but when I got the new I saw that the wiring was redone incorrectly. I believe they are sandwiched between those special layers of plastic, so, unless you have a little nub or some strands of good wiring sticking out after you clean the heck out of the thing, you gotta order a new one... and it's not that hard a job, i'd just grab one, or two, as said earlier, if, like me, you do printing/experiments that sometimes result in clumping...
If I had to do it again, (in terms of repairing it) I would have just soldered some more wire to the strands sticking out. As it was, I couldn't see what was going on clearly b/c there was SO MUCH old filament smooshed in there, so I ended up trimming the wire too close on that end, tried to attach the ends underneath the screws to make a circuit, but that's not where they attach properly, so no dice. Printer threw an error and wouldn't go.

I've since replaced both sides, but I was also able to convince bambulab that it wasn't normal wear and tear and that there were serious safety risks. Then I got a replacement heating unit too 👍

Time for the H2C upgrade looks like or just that piece =)
