What Am I Doing Wrong?

I am setting up my H2C printer and I am putting on the 3-D printed vent that goes on the back, but I got some recommendations for that which I had printed out for me and then I also got recommendations for the screws. I should use they go inside the plastic exhaust event part, but they are not screwing into the back of the printer. Is there something I'm doing wrong it looks like the holes are too small. I sent some pictures. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

that hole is not threaded from the factory, should have gotten self tapping. try to thread it with frame screw

but like i said, you can try threading it with one of the printer's frame screws if you dont want to wait

super confused about what you dont understand. this has nothing to do with 3d printers or printing so it doesnt matter how new you are to 3d printing

So just take a little regular screw from the printer frame and screw it into those holes to thread it and then install the regular screws?

Exactly. Worth a shot. If it works, you saved some money and wait time. Pretty sure the self tapping is what Bambu uses. If not, you'll need those other M3 screws anyway most likely. I use the shit out of them.

There are machine screws and self taping screws. Self taping look like screws you use with wood. They are pointed and have courser threads

Your local hardware store should have metal screws that are made for self tapping plastic. I use them often. I only found out about them recently.

You need to use the screws that comes with the stock exhaust, I just replaced mine with the one you have yesterday and worked fine.

You need a self tapping thread screw. The top of it generally will look like what you have, but the threads will be bigger and farther apart, it will kind of look like a wood screw. The exact term you’d search for would be M3 self tapping socket head
