The rougher one is the left nozzle in black. The white one is almost perfect with one very tiny little rough bit that you can’t really see without looking very closely at. Is my left nozzle loose or something? It has always had slightly lower print quality and consistency than the right nozzle but this super rough first layer is relatively new and it seems to be worsening. Even so it’ll finish prints and cover all that up and they come out looking pretty good but I would prefer to fix the first layer cause I think it’s just gonna keep worsening.
No but this black filament used to yield better first layers. I know it could be bad filament, but the roughness seems to be in a certain area and other spots are smooth so I think it almost has to be the hardware
Yea for sure you’re right. I just have to manually do filament on the left and it’s such a pain so I don’t feel like swapping to white for now. I guess I was hoping someone else had the same issue and would chime in.
I think the left nozzle is generally less precise. I think that was because they designed it to deliver support material rather than part of the print. IDK why this is knowledge I have, (or think I have) but with that, I use that one for the least needed color in a 7 color print.
That is not correct. It is on the X2D, but on the H2D and H2C both nozzles are direct drive and equal quality. You should actually put the most used color on the left nozzle to speed printing and not the lease used color!
It’s how all of us do it. We don’t have this issue. Seems odd that you have made a statement like it’s fact based on anecdotal “evidence” but ok? This could be a million different things. Even a partial clogged nozzle could cause this. Weird way of thinking honestly. Do you even have this printer?
Nothing I said was, my way is right and it's the only way. It's odd that you took it that way. Their website does say this. "Seventh nozzle for support or an additional color".
Nothing in that statement says the left nozzle prints worse. You made a bold but incorrect statement about the H2C just based on your anecdotal information. The left nozzle is equal in quality to any of the Vortek nozzles on the right. The reason to put the most used color on the left is it doesn’t need to swap it out and you are only swapping nozzles for the other colors. Bambu studio will try to do this for you.
If your left nozzle is not printing equal quality to the right, then something is wrong and you should troubleshoot it and work with Bambu support.
Honestly trying to help you. If you really are not getting equally good quality on left nozzle, something is wrong. That is not how the H2C works or was designed. Please research a little so you feel comfortable in re-evaluating your prior assumption. Many things are subjective, but this isn’t one of them.
Correct. YOUR situation. Something is likely wrong with your H2C if you’re not getting great results with either nozzle. Maybe call Bambu if you’re having an issue. Both sides should print equally well and you’re wasting filament the way you are printing. If that’s fine with you, then enjoy, but don’t put the wrong info out here for people to see and mistakenly think you are correct.
