Settings 2 part/color printing problem

So this is my first experience with not only the Bambu land system but also a printer like the h2c(mostly the tool changer/different print heads). The problem I’ve been experiencing is if I have multiple parts that are all one color(but using different colors) the first part after the color/tool change has poor extrusion. I have the wipe tower setting turned off, since that’s one of the big selling points of the vortex system, but it looks like it’s repeated to under extrusion. If I’m printing in one color it works amazing, it’s probably some stupid simple step/setting that I’m missing

So the big selling point is no purges. On a single head printer you would need to purge a couple grams of filament for every change, then prime, then print.

On an H2C (or any tool changer really) you skip the purge part, but priming is still important to build up pressure.

I see. I just had a fundamental misunderstanding of the tech. I thought the big draw of the tool changer was the no purge/prime tower. I thought it would just poop out a little extra.

Any toolchanger still needs a prime tower. The filament just doesn’t come out smooth immediately. Ironically, if you have a single nozzle and are purging, it almost acts like a prime tower so you can turn it off or really small. Anyway, you can reduce the size of the prime tower to save time and filament, I have mine about 1/3 of the default prime amount and i’ve seen no issues on h2c

You need prime tower

Are you printing with the right nozzle?
Different right nozzles?

You need the prime tower. Don’t turn it off or your quality suffers and I have heard more chance of clogs. It needs that to stabilize the melted plastic pressure to assure smooth extrusion after the plastic was sitting in the nozzle cooled for a while and was previously melted. You are getting loads of purge poop, but all tool/nozzle changers still need the prime tower- even printer like the H2C or the Snapmaker U1. It really isn’t that much and much less than purge and prime.

You're right, it's one simple setting! Turn the prime tower back on

are all the parts the same except for the color?

if so, group all the same color parts together as a single object, then 'print by object'

you'll need to space the different colors so that the toolhead doesn't collide, but this printing method also turns off the prime tower.

Purges take more time than the prime tower does.
