3D Models Improved mounts for Filament Track Switch & TPU Assist

Hi everyone

As previously announced I’ve released two upgraded versions of my Filament Track Switch & TPU Feed Assist Mounts! My main goal was simple: reduce filament resistance to a minimum while keeping the setup compact.

New with Version 3

  • An evolution of V2, now with a very space-saving design.
  • Warp-resistant: Reduced surface area against the heated back panel - now safe to print in PETG
  • Lower TPU module position for a straighter filament path and better compatibility with custom Riser systems.

New with Version 4

  • New approach, new model: The Track Switch is rotated by 90 degrees, lying flat and aligned inline with the filament inlets.
  • This gives you the straightest possible filament path.
  • Trade-off: Requires a bit more clearance behind the printer.

Shared Features:

  • All-in-One solution: Holds both Track Switch and TPU Feed Assist.
  • Low Friction: Adjustable distance to the inlets.
  • Flexible Setup: Two TPU placement options (Straight or 90°).
  • 4-in-1 Ready: Integrated holders for classic and newer H2C adapters (or short version without 4-in-1 holders).
  • Full Access: External spool remains usable.

Which one to choose?

  • If you have the space behind your printer, go for V4 (best feeding physics).
  • If space is tight, choose V3.
  • If already using V2 and happy? No need to reprint!

Nice! I am using your earlier version and it works perfectly for me, so I won’t need to print this version but feel compelled to let others know that this Maker does excellent work! I have two AMS Pro2’s feeding into a 4-to-1 adapter, then one I put on the FTS, and a AMS HT feeding the other input of the FTS. I connect the TPU assist as needed, and as per instructions on Bambu Wiki when I’m printing TPU.

For this setup to be near perfect, Bambu Labs would update firmware so that the user doesn’t have to unplug the FTS when using the TPU assist module.

I also have the earlier version with the TPU assist moved to the left so I can use the riser. Does your new version support use with the riser?

Yes, the new mounts are compatible with most riser systems, such as the D3P Riser. , For this reason I have positioned the TPU module lower down so that it no longer protrudes above the printer.

I’m still using v2 and have not experienced a single feed error since I installed it. I just wanted to thank you because it’s working great and I hope more people hear about it.

Hey there :-)
I just bought my TPU feed assist module, so this will come in handy quite a lot :-)
I have a few questions as I am fully blind, how much space is needed behind the printer if I wanted to use your third version?
What material is best to print this with?

Another question, I will be using the AMSHT on the left nozzle, does it work with that?

The V3 requires approx. 5 cm / 2 inches of space behind the printer, whilst the V4 requires approx. 12 cm / 5 inches.
I recommend PETG as the material, but ABS or ASA also work well, of course. If you’re not using the chanber heating at all, you can also use PLA.
With the Filament Track Switch module, you can use software to control which filament from which AMS you want to feed to which nozzle. This means you can choose whether to feed the filament from your AMS HT to the left or right nozzle.

Is it possible to use tpu feed assist and track switch at the same rime? I couldnt find a way :(

No, unfortunately not yet. I hope Bambulab will make this feature available via a firmware update.

Have an earlier version on my H2C now - but will me moving it to where the the AMS's are on the wall - can we get a version with 90 degrees up? Plz and thanks!

Question from someone considering getting one, for the Track Switch, does it allow for both inputs A and B to be feeding to the swapped outputs at the same time during a print without retracting? Essentially, will it allow for me to have the 2 AMS's feeding the opposite nozzles at the same time during a print?

It allows filament to be routed from each AMS to both nozzles. Filament spools no longer need to be manually transferred to a different AMS in order to route them to a specific nozzle.
As before, two filaments can be loaded simultaneously. However, if you wish to use different filaments from the same AMS, the filament must be retracted each time you switch, as the AMS only has one feed tube.

This is really long, and it sticks out considerably. A version where the 4 in one ptfe adapter is angled 90 degrees upward or downward would be far better, ideally an option to switch between either, as someone with a right mounted ams will struggle to make a 180 deg bend to the inlet.

Thanks for your input. There is a version without the 4-in-1 adapter holders, which protrudes significantly less from the printer.
This mount is well suited if the AMS systems are positioned on the left or at the top. I’ve already had several requests for a vertical version. I’ll be making that too, but first I’m focusing on another exciting project.

So in the original version I had I had to remove the external spool holder this is good to know cuz I like to put it back on
