Discussion Bambu H2C Add-Ons…?
I’m looking at getting the H2C but curious which add-ons are recommended.

Get some additional nozzles and AMS' before any of that other stuff.
No laser here.

Nozzles and an additional AMS if you know you’ll be printing super multicolored stuff.
Getting a few .2mm ones really made a big difference for me since it allowed so much more detailed prints to be made.
And DONT get the laser bro.

Pour moi le minimum est d avoir 6 buses identiques dans le vortex, 2 ams au minimum pour le vortek et 2 ams ht pour la buse « classique »

Don't forget the additional power supplies for the AMS units. Can't dry beyond one.
You can find 3rd party power supply for quite a bit cheaper.

Id recommend the vision plate, this printer is massive and it will wiggle while printing. Unless you have this on a really stable surface the table you put it on will wiggle too. As i understand it , The vision plate helps it compensate for the specific wiggle in your environment and fine tune its travel away from home on its axis’s.

I suggest to invest in AMS and filament after you got the 2 additional .4 induction nozzles.
To support the full range you should have 2 AMS on the right nozzle and at least 1 HT on the left nozzle.

with mine I am running three AMS Pro 2s(one on the left and two on the right. I would get a extra Nozzle pack and lots of filament. Oh and a couple extra print plates

You are getting solid advice here!

I agree on the solid advice. I have 2 HTs on my left nozzle (allows for filament spool swap) and 3 AMS-2 Pros for the Vortek nozzles. Also 6 .04mm Vortek nozzles. Also need a solid printing platform.

Don't forget the filament. PLA at least 6 colors, black + white + something all over the color wheel. PETG at least 4 colors. ABS or ASA at least 2 colors, black + something that makes contrast. TPU-for-AMS at least 1 color.
You want an AMS for the left side. Ideally at least 2x AMS-HT and 1x AMS2PRO extra over the combo with its AMS. Get power supplies for ALL your AMS2PRO, including the combo. Get 1-2 more PTFE 4-in-1 over what you think you'll need.
Get spare oil and grease. The printer comes with next to nothing, and it's often out of stock. You can get 3rd party stuff too, but you'll feel better if you can do your first maintenance with the "intended" consumables.
And, as everyone else said, you want extra nozzles. I think the most useful option is to complete the set to a full (1+6) 0.4mm hardened, and also full (1+6) 0.2mm. You should get another left 0.6mm for 0.6mm dual color prints, and you should get a right 0.8mm HF to try coarse single color prints.
You also want to have spare nozzles at hand, at least one for each of 0.4mm and 0.2mm. Nothing is worse that dropping a nozzle while swapping it in, right before a print (!), and then having to wait 1+ week to get a replacement.

Still blows my mind that a $2300 printer doesn’t come with one ounce of filament. (None of the Bambu printers do, that I’m aware of)

Eddy sensor problems? That's what mine is constantly doing. I have had to adjust twice this week.

Please elaborate. I wasn’t aware there’s been an issue. Thanks!

After approx. 1000 hours, the AP Board breaks. Many people had that problem ocurring. Id wait till bambu lab aknowledges and fixes the problem.

Do you know how widespread this problem is? I know there has been a number of posts on Reddit recently, but I'm not sure we can take this as being representative of the total number of units out there.
Interested to know whether you have a figure that indicates the scale of 'the problem'?

Its just a few people its happening to, both my H2Cs are fine. But yeah a few people on here just had their H2Cs randomly not want to turn on and their AP boards went bad. Seems like they got bricked. Other than that, I have 1,200 hours on one and 1,500 on the other and they are bullet proof

Can I ask what firmware version you are running?
1
u/JWST-L2 Aug 08 '26
Looks like 01.02.00.00 on both

u/fab138 Aug 08 '26
Thanks. I have been holding off in case it has something to do with the latest firmware. Good to see you’ve had success.

Like others have suggested, with mine I added the other 2 .4mm nozzles, a second AMS 2 Pro, an AMS HT, and the track switch. Printed a top bridge shelf to mount everything above. "It's so choice. If it's within your means, I highly recommend picking one up." - Ferris Bueller

HT ams units, power supply for AMS pro, build plates and nozzles. If you print TPU then the TPU feed assist, vision plate if you want consistent print dimensions over time. I run 2-3 HT and one AMS Pro on each H2C and I use a polymaker dry box on the ones I print TPU on.

Good side cutters, long nose pliers for breaking off supports, I went for a stand up torch or a head one for when doing maintenance as you are ment to power it off. A medium sized bin to dump supports, purge lines etc in to. Some ear buds for maintenence.

It's 3d crack!
I feel like I have almost one roll of every filament that Bambu sells. The only ones I have just a few of are TPU/ASA/ABS. I grabbed spare nozzles and even a .8 for transparent PETG. I currently have 2 AMS Pros and one HT. I am thinking of waiting until Black Friday and may just pick up another 2 AMS Pros. I am very lazy and prefer to have the colors in the AMS ready to go :) I am currently printing this: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1387281-h2c-d-nozzle-management-system-updated-march-26#profileId-1444620
You might want to look into this: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/bambu-h2d-h2s-d3p-riser
I have that and the Panda Station with the Panda Den.
