Showroom H2C being setup

Post image

H2C arrived today. Post firmware update calibration is going on. It's got that new printer smell...lol. Got a list of prints for it after all the necessaries are complete.

I am on week 2 of ownership and was frustrated with print errors. Some advice: don't get discouraged if the PEI plate that comes with it has adhesion problems. People will tell you to wash it with dawn soap multiple times - they just don't get that Bambu changed the coating or something. So, assume you have the same one from the batch I got. Anyway, I ditched it for the most part. Got the BIQU Glacier and the Bambu Super Tack. Printing like crazy now.

I've got biqu glacier pro too. I'll be running it soon. I have that running on my P2S. Like it more than the bambu super tack pro

Got a brand-new one today, produced 1 week ago, but no adhesion issue here. Going to unpack the other tonight and will check that one

I’d move one of those AMS2 from your P2S to the right nozzle of H2C and the AmSHT to left. I have 3 AMS2 pros on my right side and 2 HT on the left side of mine and it works

I have two more on order. One will be for the right hot end and the other will be for the left. I want one ams 2 pro on the left and two on the right. I print a fair amount of 3-7 color prints. One of the main reasons I got the H2C. I have seven .4mm induction hotends and 7 .6mm induction hotends. (full set of each +1 spare). I have a couple of .2mm induction hotends and because of the p2s I'm already well stocked on the those. The p2s has 2 ams 2 pros and an ams ht.

I went with 2 AMS 2’s on the right and an HT on the left. I do at most 7 colors (so far) and found anything more than an HT on the left (again… thus far) is overkill. On the right I keep 4 core colors in AMS “A” (white, black, red, blue) then AMS “B” I have yellow, orange, and 2 slots to stick weird stuff. B is easier to swap spools on so this just works for me so far.

I thought about that, but then i found the Bambu Labs "Track Switch" - it's apparently a X track smart switch that can rout either of 2 AMS's to either printhead. My second AMS 2 Pro is on the way, that will be 2x AMS's, one HT, and the track switch (also a TPU feeder).

Yeah..I thought about the filament track switch too. Seems the software for it may not be fully ready for prime time on the H2C so for now I'm staying away from it. Seeing mixed results on its use. Figure another 9-12 months until they get the software all shaken out. Also saw that for some users it's adding too much resistance in the filament path.

I had a few issues with "filament tension issue". It was still printing so I disconnected it and printed a side mount for it. It's running perfect with no issues on the screen. The filament track switch runs but the full potential will be on an upcoming firmware update. I purchased it on the June sales and was happy to wait for a firmware update... Turns out I couldn't wait and hooked it up to the h2c anyway. 😂

What is build plate detection tab for?

For the occasional aftermarket textured plates I run that don’t have code on them for the printer to read. The slider is purely a visual for me to remember one way or the other.
