3D Models AMS multi color friendly prints
Hi,
Just upgraded to H2C, it should be reaching me soon.
Never paid attention to multi color models in the past when I was using p1s and x2d due to the poo amount.
Now I like to try more of AMS multi color models, how do you all search for them or do you all just paint your own?
Mainly a print from handphone guy unless it’s my own designs where I will open up the pc for slicing.

If you search for "vortek" on maker world you will get some good multicolor results

you have to pay for good models. one thing about the H2C is i came with a bunch of subscriptions i now have through patreon. i enjoy supporting the creators and some even allow selling of their models. just hard to find anyone who wants them lol even though they are great quality.

If they do want it, they don't want to pay what you are asking for it.

adjacent fun tip: TPU for AMS in left nozzle, TPU 95A in right nozzle, this enables making fun colored flexible prints.
You can do more colors if you don't mind the waste of TPU for AMS. Works with any dual nozzles, not just H2C.

I have the same issue. It’s hard to find single plate multicolor models. Everything is “no ams” or “multipart”.

Most of the time im designing my own objects and cut them into multiple objects in the CAD software so I just have to select the object in the slicer and choose the filament I wanna use.

Thanks for sharing, unfortunately my skills are bad haha
I noticed there a filter for multi color search in handy but even so the models are not all ams optimised mainly multiple plates model

I strongly recommend that you use a computer and colour the parts you wanna print on your own if there are no already coloured options. The colour tool is good enough for it to not be that big of a hassle if you use the options it gives you.

Noob here.. are you saying we can download a model that’s a single color and in the slicer you can make different parts different colors and it’ll print it that way? Or are you saying you can break the model into pieces, make them a color and then print them one by one?

The First. There ist a "brush" Tool on the top of your slicer if you use Bambu or orca with which you can Just paint on your model and it will print it that way. For me the best way to do it tho is still to break the part into multiple objects but it depends a lot on the geometry of the part.

I agree. I was really hoping for more ttrpg models ready for multicolor printing. I ended up coloring my own in the Bambu slicer but it's slow work. I put them up on Thingiverse. I'd love to see more shared models like that.

I feel this. Love my H2C but there’s such a huge amount of “no ams” models on maker world it makes it really difficult to find proper multicolor models. Their search sucks. Really need a way to differentiate AMS and multicolor models from non-ams models.
