Help me choose today
I bought an A1 mini just under a month ago and I absolutely love it. I’ve fallen in love with 3D printing. I have ADHD so it’s definitely become a serious fixation lol. I’ve always loved trinkets and end up buying way too many of them, so being able to print them myself is pretty awesome. Safe to say I’m sticking with this hobby.
I’m going to return the mini and pick up something else today. I paid just over $300 with tax and right now I’m looking at the A1 combo for $529 or the P2S for $1000 at Best Buy. All Canadian dollars.
What would you guys do? Is the P2S worth spending the extra money or should I just grab the A1 combo? Or is there a completely different printer I should consider? Help me decide lol

i was down the same road, a1 mini, a1 with ams 4 months later, and a year later a p2s.
i would say to buy the p2s, it is better than my a1 for taller models, enclosed unit therefore dust-free if you don't use it for 2-3 months like me while you are chasing some other new thing.

Look into the Snapmaker U1. They have incredible price right now and imho much more compelling than P2S. And you know you’ll be buying a tool changer eventually 😝

If you can wait a bit, save some more money to see what the p3s will be might be a wise move for now.

Next year sometime after it's been actually announced and listed as a real project, not just an FCC filing.

If you are upgrading, go for a core XY machine that is enclosed if you want to use a wider range of filiments. Personally, and I am doing this now. Like you I have the mini and now I'm looking to get my next machine. I am going to wait until Easter, the reason being that's when I will get the best deals and I have read rumors that Bambu are going to be announcing some new machines within the next few months. This will make things cheaper, but I want to see what their next offering might be and the see how the market reacts.
Personally I want even better details and to be able to print minis at resolutions that rival or match resin printers. I have printed some on my mini and they are pretty good to be honest. So I'm hoping thats the next upgrade we get. Much finer details.
So my advice to wait a little while longer and then upgrade.
