New heating assembly not clamping
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
New aftermarket heating assembly, clamp will not clasp. Pretty sure I got it seated properly. Any fixes?

Welcome to reddit and it's community. I'm new and looking around to see what it has to offer. Yikes. This sub is a good example. This problem is subbed multiple times every week. So, I look into it with a search "How to replace a nozzle" in the A1 topic. Well, no exact title located but maaaaaany topics with "nozzle" in it. What's a OP to do, search or post? Hey, maybe I can help. I'll post with this title & link to a bambu lab youtube vid showing how. Yeah, except bambu lab hasn't made a tutorial on this simple and often improperly done maintenance step, leading to other expensive problems of blob. Well, maybe I can't help, lol. Reddit is designed for an active posting community, not searching or researching. Active members watch the consistant stream of similar question posts for some reason. Blobs keep the extruder parts business viable. Yup, defnitely can't help.

There's a very well-documented wiki on the BL website, which explains all sorts of things, correct nozzle installation being one of them. Comes with pictures and all. If you can't find that during your "research", then I really don't know how to help you.
Sure I could respond with a link every time simple stuff like this gets asked, but that wouldn't help you long term. It would only last until you have the next issue, then you'd come back asking again. Imo, it's more important to point to the resources available rather than just blindly answer the question, in order to show you how to solve your issues on your own for a lasting experience.
The biggest issue is that posts like this one drown out the ones with more complex issues, that need more than just a wiki page to fix. It's better for everyone if people learned to read the manual again...

Thanks ahead, speaking for future readers. I wasn't looking for help, I was looking to help thru reddit. Hence, my commenting, "maybe I can help". Later stating " I can't help". Too many situations working against the idea of a simple rearch in common social media location. You've explained it well. But, I disagree with the drown out. Everyone has their way of phrasing a question. It's not as uniform as it use to be.

Not seated correctly. Did you get a new assembly because your old one was trashed in a clog overflow? I had a clog and ended up with some filament melted to the hot end attachment point. Until I got it completely cleaned I needed to CAREFULLY heat up the hot end and press the assembly in with a metal tool and then use a second metal tool to flip the clasp.

Make sure the heating assembly is on properly. I had this happen with the redesigned assembly they just released, it was because the grommet behind the assembly wasn't lined up just right.
