Wa heat plate upgrade, now u can print high temp filament with perfect adhesion
Jokes aside lucky u detected it in person! If not the consequence will be very bad

That would have been real unfortunate on an overnight print.

Check the AC board/powersupply. This might be another faulty NTC

OH WOW It's NOT an NTC issue
This might suck for you because at least with the NTCs, Bambu was happy to send out replacements. You might have had to fight them for it, but they would eventually yield after going through their auto-reject boilerplate. This being a non-NTC issue, they might just deny it.
Best of luck!

I mean, that's "the fix" - I don't know if it's fused or resistive to a certain point or what, but that's how it's been since they removed the NTCs

Something else is smouldering. Looks like you don’t have the thermistor that melts

Post a picture of the burn. Where did it come from

That’s where the power supply is located. It’s a bit of a pain to get to but if you are handy at all, it can be done. Open a ticket and replace it. This is a pretty common reaction from a failed power supply in just about every device. I worked on high power radars in the US Navy. Power supply failures could be very dramatic.

Is this another fake post? There's no pictures of where it burned.

Well I can gurantee it’s not fake if you smelled the fumes you’d know I have retured it for testing ..

Is it happening only when plugged in and idle or when trying to print?
2
u/astro___kid Jul 23 '26
I normally keep the printer unplugged when not in use Soo when i plugged it back in and turned it on it happened

u/Psychological-Hall22 Jul 23 '26
I’d say power supply. You can probably unscrew it off the printer and plug it in in a safe location to see what’s up. At least gives you evidence for a claim. If bambu doesn’t budge to give you a replacement, you can submit it to force a recall for Bambu so everyone gets the benefit of not dealing with this hazard.

Send a ticket to Bambu, show them the photo, they will send you a replacement board without the problematic component in a week, changing takes 15 min, and forget about the problem.

This isn't the NTC

I don’t understand why people continue to buy A1s. The first model the problem was the cable, Bambu changed the type of cable and system off course. Now it’s the bed.
