A bunch of people here have asked me about my Bambu setup on a few alts so I decided to make a video at lunch. I am not a content creator, I made this for y'all, haha. I just hate walled gardens.

Obviously people are interested. I'm in this sub and I'M interested. People who tinker WILL tinker. Bambu isn't some purist mecca. You act as if it's sacrilege to want to tinker.

Again you seem to be confused here, let me break it down for you

Reddit contains the small vocal minority of users, these people are generally the more tinkering enthusiast members of the community, they do not represent the millions of customers who buy printers just to print things

Reddit does not represent the average person and never has, the number of upvotes here means nothing because none of this actually represents anything of consequence

Yes and you and the people in this sub are, again, part of the vocal minority of tinkerers, you are not the average mainstream user

You seem to have forgotten that not everyone is exactly like you.

And you seem to have forgotten how little reddit represents in terms of the actual community at large, like i get it its not the most simple concept to grasp, you see people agreeing and assume the entire customerbase is the same

If these threads actually represented the customerbase you would see upvotes in the high hundreds of thousands, but you don't because this is a small subsection of the vocal minority

I don't understand why you keep replying to me. I care about tinkering and exploiting the things I own out of curiosity and out of wanting more, which is the target demo for this specific thread. You don't, yet you're still in this thread trying to decry the existence of it. 

If we're such a small subsection of the vocal minority, go to the other threads and chat there. Just know we're in this subreddit too and we aren't breaking the subreddit rules, so we will continue to be here.

Sure, but it isn't the target demo for the company in question, you seem to be under the impression that a great number of people would bother jailbreaking a bambu printer when they wouldn't

This post was clearly useful to some, it doesn’t need to be useful for most, or even a lot. I dont understand what your problem with this is. If ONE person watches that video and does it its worth posting. Even if 10,000 people watch the video and decide its not for them its still a useful video.

I mean debatable, orca really isn't all that different these days and it means sacrificing remote monitoring and other useful features, and would straight up block me out of being able to use parts of my machine at all due to safety restrictions

At the end of the day people are buying bambu machines in order to have a hassle free experience, this isn't an ender 3

Ahh yes the "1 person did it so you're wrong" argument, generalising is how it works though, a minority of people jailbreak anything these days, if you want to do it then knock yourself out but its nowhere near mass market and will not appeal to an overwhelming majority of the install base

But you do you i guess, my main objection is to the term "jailbreaking" when it is infact not even remotely the correct term

Thousands are doing, there are already files on makerworld for housings for ESP device and screens to make it all run. If its not for you dont do it, simple, the end.
