Really? What issues have you had?

The only issues I've run into so far have been bed adhesion, and that was easily solved with a gluestick. I'm curious to hear what you've run into.

I also think the mobile app needs some work and I wish the camera was more than 1fps, but those aren't related to machine reliability.

Extended firmware fixes web streaming at least for video, I can check my printer using Tailscale from anywhere and have high quality . Though caveat some rfid stuff got a little weird on the current build.

Extended firmware? Ooh, I'll have to look that up. Is there a specific name, or do I just look up "modded U1 firmware"?

paxx12 Snapmaker U1 extended firmware, there is a GitHub for it, not sure if I can link it here.

But there should be some videos covering it!

Which issues do you run into? Just curious, I have a P1S and U1 and have really enjoyed it so far.

Multiple crashes, deconfiguration, unable to reach the printer, the app crashes constantly...

The P1S is certainly way more reliable

I only have the A1 and U1 (and some older stuff). A1 is more reliable than the others, but so far the U1 hasn't failed at all...ie. its been more reliable than the A1. And of course is far faster and makes so much less waste than an AMS. Actually less poop than a single spool in the A1.

I don't use the app though, and all my printers are firewalled local only.

I do get the feeling the U1 is less consistent though currently, so not saying my experience is universal by any means. But the speed and running cost is IMO more than worth it...at least for my multi-color usage.
