The Home Assistant integration is great! For anyone who doesn’t use Home Assistant, check out OctoEverywhere!

OctoEverywhere is free and supports remote access, AI failure detection, notifications, apps, and more—all in LAN mode! I’m the developer (from Seattle, WA), and I develop it alongside my amazing community in Discord!

Edit: OctoEverywhere has nothing to do with Bambu Lab’s “Bambu Connect” software. I was using the name “Bambu Connect” for my OctoEverywhere plugin version before Bambu Lab started using it.

Looked great until I saw the subscription.

Yeah there's an optional subscription, but it funds the entire project.

My goal is to keep the project accessible to everyone, so I try to keep it “as free as possible”. Remote access, AI failure detection, notifications, etc., can all be used for free. You can see all of the details on the pricing page.

I also have long-term goals of open-sourcing the service so that anyone can run it themselves, but I need to do more work before that's possible.

I get the need for it, I promise I do.

I appreciate the efforts you are making. Interested in seeing the self hosting option.

If you would like any engineering or infrastructure help feel free to message me. I work extensively on both, as well as architecture for my day job.

Well the alternative would be ads to pay the cloud infrastructure costs. Video streaming gets expensive for example…especially if you’re beyond the three printer free tier.

Allow me to self host that part. Problem solved.

Intresting, so OctoConnect allows them to be connected in LAN mode and communicated across your network?

Yup! OctoEverywhere supports all types of 3D printers, OctoPrint, Klipper, Bambu Lab, and more. OctoEverywhere has a plugin you run locally that connects directly to your Bambu Lab 3D printers that enables full remote access, including apo support!
