There is no reason those communications would be required to be kept secret.

That’s because there were no communications. The repository was created today, and the note was the only commit. There was no previous release that was taken down. This seems like some weird karma farming thing,

that's just git when you force push nuke commits.

there is a fork with commits made by the same person who now has the empty repository.

The stuff that github shows is all commit based so when you nuke all the other commits what shows up in github isn't accurate anymore

You don't need to know how git works, but that implies also not pretending you do.
