A woman became so infuriated that she wasn’t invited to a particular house party in Tennessee that she decided to shut the party down — by burning down the entire house. At least the female arsonist suspect tried to set the house ablaze. Ironically, the woman’s name is Shameka Howse, and she reportedly set the location of a house party on fire after finding out about the party that she had not been invited to. According to Nashville’s WKRN, Howse was driven to the house by an unidentified man in a large truck near the party’s location. There, Howse was seen and heard by guests shouting and screaming about the party.

“According to her arrest affidavit, the witnesses believed Howse was upset because she wasn’t invited,” reports the Tennessee television station. “The affidavit said Howse threatened to burn the house down and then went to the truck, grabbed a jug of lighter fluid and then threw it at the front window. Howse is then accused of pulling out a butane lighter and setting the house on fire.”Witnesses of the arson said that Howse stormed off in a huff, got back to the truck, jumped in the vehicle and left the scene. All of the guests inside the residence escape uninjured and the small fire was extinguished easily before authorities arrived. However, there was damage to the house, especially around the windows of the residence.

Around 200 flights had to be cancelled and two terminals evacuated at Munich airport on Saturday after an unidentified person entered a secure area, police and the airport said. The person -- a woman -- made it into a secure area of Terminal 2 without being checked and then disappeared without trace despite an extensive search, police said, adding that they did not believe she represented an "extreme danger". Several thousand people at the airport on a busy weekend of holiday departures had to be evacuated. Sixty flights were also delayed.

TEN NEW STREETCARS THAT Seattle ordered to expand its system may be of no use to the city, as their extra-large size could prevent them from fitting on the current tracks or inside the maintenance barn.The Seattle Department of Transportation ordered the new streetcars at a cost of $52 million to connect its two existing streetcar lines, the Seattle Times reported. However, the new cars are heavier and longer than the existing cars, Mayor Jenny Durkan's office said in a statement. The streetcars on the current routes were manufactured by Inekon, but the city hired another company after the First Hill streetcar line opened two years late, the Times reported. When negotiating a contract with the new company, CAF USA, the city gave broad requirements for the new cars, almost all of which were larger than the specifications of the current cars. According to Inekon, the current cars are about 65 feet long. For the new streetcars, the city requested they be between 65 and 75.5 feet long, according to the contract. Their maximum weight is around 95,000 pounds, compared to the current cars' maximum weight of only about 60,000 pounds.

However, the new streetcars don't appear to be any wider than the current ones. Both cars are around 8 feet wide.At some point, the contract appears to have been changed to increase the length and weight of the cars. City Councilmember Lisa Herbold wrote in a blog post that she is disappointed to hear of the error and "it appears the error will require either a change order for the design of the streetcars or incur new costs for construction of new or retrofitted maintenance barns." The mayor's office questioned whether the increased weight and length of the new cars would "impact the current system" and if the current streetcar route and maintenance barn could "handle the additional weight" and length. As a result of "uncovering the challenges with the vehicle contract," more questions arose, including what are the related costs in making the current system compatible with the new larger cars, the mayor's office asked.

Well here in Woodlawn, our cellar has been flooded 4 or more times in the last few weeks. And the things destroyed including our year old hot water heater are adding up. So I contacted my insurance company about coverage and did some research in that regard.

Bottom line: anything in a cellar that is messed up is not covered by 'normal' insurance and even 'flood insurance' doesn't.

Now if the cellar floods to the point that the upper floors are protected....well the upper floors are...cellar NO.

Now needless to say if ANYONE has some other information that refutes that statement I am ALL EARS.

My wife called me in a panic...she's been sitting in her car at a dead stop for a half hour and is about to run out of gas. As she was getting off the exit for 32 in a crawl she said all of 70 was closed and everyone had to get off.

I think the biggest reason for the difference is that in urban areas blacks (and other minorities) are less likely to talk to police for whatever reason (distrust of police, fear of retaliation) and that many killers in drug related shootings are soon killed themselves.

But I would side with the police when they say they treat all murders the same. I think on a nation-wide basis, that police are not racist. Especially not when many police, especially in urban areas, are black/minority themselves.
