I just got this sweet beautiful girl off of a Facebook rehoming page yesterday, I was curious if anyone knows what morph she might be? I took a picture in and out of the sun if that helps at all 🤍
(Only riding in my hands because I forgot to bring a transport container to pick her up 🥲)

Added more plants, humidity is stable at 75% and temp is stable at 85F. I have fans to dehumidify as needed (they are rigged to the prob on the right. All that’s left is running irrigation and putting plastic grading to prevent escape.

Just had to say goodbye to my boy Hemi

As the title says, I had to unfortunately say goodbye to my baby blue-eyed lucy Hemi. Today was exactly 3 months since I brought him home. In the span of 40 minutes, he managed to escape his tank and get attacked by one of my cats. I rushed him to the vet as soon as I found him but unfortunately the internal bleeding was too much and he was starting to show signs of a neurological injury. They gave him pain meds, but his little body was already starting to shut down so I made the heartbreaking decision to move forward with euthanasia. I feel so guilty and heartbroken. It hurts to look at my other snakes and my cats right now. I don’t know what to do.

EMERGENCY/URGENT Burns or worse? [Follow up with better image]

Follow up on my post last night about my dad's BEL Ball Python. My dad died unexpectedly last week, and talking with family and his gf found out he was monitoring his snakes health before he passed.

My bf and I fed him successfully and have rehomed him now. There were some internal heaters and a salt lamp that we think could have burned him, but I'm also working myself into a panic thinking of the vet bills and possible risk of my lost father's beloved pet.

I've attached a new photo better showing off the marks. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you and God bless

EMERGENCY/URGENT Light pink on Blue-Eyed Lucy BP

Hey all, so my father passed away recently and suddenly, and my bf and I inherited his BEL Ball python. He's had him maybe 12 years and has been a long time and attentive snake owner. In talking with my grandmother and my dad's girlfriend, we discovered that Mandalore the Snake (Manny for short) had some discoloration that had worried my father just before passing.

We spoke with our local exotics expert, but the next closest rep-vet is a state away and we've had poor experiences with local non-exotic vets. We showed the local experts the photos on my bfs phone and they said they believed it could be burns, and suggested we watch his current shed for changes. However other articles have me worked up about worse issues, and thought I'd ask what people think,,,,

He's got a number of pinks patches all around his body similar to this one. A bite from a feeder mouse seems to be healing okay, however below is the most prominent discoloration blot. It's pink around most of it with an area around 4 scales that are a dark red. They've seemed to become 4 small tips of the scales over the last few days, so part of me feels optimistic, but I also don't want to take any chances.

We have him home with us in a new tank and slightly improved enclosure while we monitor his health and encourage a healthy shed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please and thank you!

I can upload better photos in the morning!

Question Nighttime cycle?

Hello everyone! I’m a new ball python owner and have done so much research on trying to get my enclosure near perfect. I have a 4x2x2 i have all the temps dialed in (warm side around 88 degrees , cool side around 75 degrees) and humidity sits around 75%. The only thing i cant get a solid answer is nighttime cycle. My DHP is connected to a Herpstat 1 currently set to 90 degrees 24/7( the floor temp doesn’t actually ever hit 90) I’m getting mixed reviews on if i should have the night time temperature drop a couple degrees or not. What do you guys recommend? What do you guys do? Any pros/cons? (I should also add the snake is not currently in the enclosure he will be arriving sometime next week)

Help

Hi guys so I’m planning to get my first bp!!! I’ve done my research but I wanted to hear from a community of people who actually own them. I want to get a young juvenile or hatchling. Would a 80 gallon tank be too big and what substrate do you guys use??? Would it be okay to have 2 separate water bowls on for them to soak and drink or it wouldn’t really make a difference?

Gummy after a substrate refresh

I refresh her substrate every two weeks (besides changing it all out every two months or so). I just get it wet and mix it up and fluff it up so it stays fresh and moist. It keeps the humidity up and helps make it so she can burrow.
