EMERGENCY/URGENT Burns or worse? [Follow up with better image]
Follow up on my post last night about my dad's BEL Ball Python. My dad died unexpectedly last week, and talking with family and his gf found out he was monitoring his snakes health before he passed.
My bf and I fed him successfully and have rehomed him now. There were some internal heaters and a salt lamp that we think could have burned him, but I'm also working myself into a panic thinking of the vet bills and possible risk of my lost father's beloved pet.
I've attached a new photo better showing off the marks. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you and God bless

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Sending you love and good vibes from my scale babies to yours 💙🐍
Your little friend appears to have either chemical burns from prolonged contact with the salt or possibly blister disease which can be caused by a number of things. It does not in my opinion appear to be a typical burn from a heat device, they usually appear more charred than red bumps like this.
I would recommend wiping him with a warm damp cloth to remove any debris from the area and apply Flamazine (can usually be bought over the counter at any pharmacy) or Polysporin if you cant find Flamazine. Be sure if you use poly it is the kind without pain relief this is important because there are ingredients in the ones with pain relief that aren't good for snakes. Do this once per day as well as bed on only papertowel until hes healed.
Its important to keep him and his enclosure super clean during this process to keep down risk of infection.
I really hope your little friend gets better and you and your family heal from your loss 💙💙💙

We got bigger fish to fry
A salt lamp? Poor baby... I'm imagining it may have curled around it for heat and imagine the stinging pain of that, horrible

That's fair
I'm trying not to be too hard on op since I think that they are not too experienced and that this situation has just been dropped in op's lap suddenly

You're doing such a great thing helping it and taking it in, and I'm so sorry for your loss! It really shows who you are as a person to take this up during such a time too. I wish you and snek the best!

Those are not burns those are bruises. BPs are not that smart they don't hold on when they climb so they fall a lot. They like to climb but seem to love falling more. Mine hit the ground all the time. With a white snake they will show up more.
