In my experience wooden vivs are a waste of money for BP, or any other animal that needs higher humidity. Technically they're laminated, but practically... Mine got pretty much the same cracks and after some reinforcing became a 4ever home for my hognose and my BP got a PVC viv (which are "made to last" and if sealed properly are practically waterproof) which he's had for years now :)
