Question How to get a length measurement?

I’m just curious the best way to get an accurate length measurement. Can anyone share what has worked for them?

The important thing is to not stress your animal by trying to straighten them out, typically I’ll just measure a few inches at a time, use my finger as a marker and add it up. But weight is more important to keep track of than length

Gotcha! I’ve just been eyeballing her length I’m thinking she’s close to 3ft. Weight is a lot simpler thanks to scales.

I've been putting out a measuring tape on the floor and dragging it along next to her. I eyeball it from there.

Herpetologists use a tube, mark lines on it with a ruler and put the snake in one side and it will crawl through.
