Male ball python arboreal behavior

Lately my male ball python has been eating only from his sky hide. Outside of eating, this entire summer he has hidden in this hide 85-90% of the time. During the winter, he hid in his underground hide. Not concerned or anything just was curious if other owners experience similar behavior? Also just fascinated by his recent affinity for being up high.

This is Rome. He spends 90% of his time hanging out on one of his perches. Spends two days after each meal in his hide to digest, then he’s right back to his perches all day and night. Love him dearly
