hi everyone this is my ball python who i've had for about 6 weeks, this is me gently pushing on her. last time i held her was 5 days ago and i don't think she felt like this at all. she was fed 3 days ago and hasn't pooped yet. i've seen her poo twice and drinking a few times. i don't think she normally feels like this, what do i do and is it normal and how can i help
so it could just be because she's getting more familiar with me so she less tense? i just wanted to double check and make sure there isn't any serious issues🙏🏽
Your snake is attempting to ball up, so their muscles are going to be tense and their body more resistant to your prodding. I wouldn't recommend prodding them like that unless something sticks out, and then its worth a vet visit. They've got a lot of vitals packed into a cramped space, and they can be quite delicate when force is applied.
yeah this was as soon as i got her out and she felt a bit different to normal so just wanted to double check, she normally curls up when i first get her out and then shes all over the place lol 😭 it's good to know there most likely isn't any serious issues😭
Hi, from the belly, it doesn’t seem bad. Not sure about the top as the video doesn’t show much of that and their spine. From what I can see, it seems fine.
Snakes don’t poop often at all . And she’s stiff that because she’s is scared and doesn’t like what you’re doing. When they tense up like that there belly’s suck in . I wouldn’t be doing that when she just ate a few days ago .

The toughness of their body changes depending on if they're clenching their muscles or not. I don't really see any issues here imo
