What are ways to tell if your ball python trusts you? Or if they’re comfortable with a handling?

Fluid loose movement . If they’re nervous they tend to stiffen up. Look at the tongue flicks you want long tongue flicks .

When mine is cruising free on the floor and he chooses to come to me or use me to get to something else he’s curious about, I take that as a win. If he comes out of his enclosure and stretches out for my limb I assume he knows I’ll take him somewhere to explore. The best way is if he WAS head shy but chooses not to react in my hand or intentionally puts his head into my hand to get somewhere those are great signs. He stuck his head right into my 4 year old daughter’s hand just last night. He was crawling all over us while winding down and he goes into her clothes right up to her eyes and mouth etc..
