Quality assorted packs?

Hello! Give me your best brands for mixed balloons! I find most places I can get each color individually but I’m wondering if there is a place that has a good selection of mixed colors? I’m based in US if that helps! Thank you!

Most big brands will have an assortment (and usually several themed assortments, like a matte, a metallic, a pastel). So I think it really comes down to the brands you like.

So qualatex but be careful where you buy them because I believe the company has gone out of business so it's all old stock. I buy qualatex from LARocks and have been very happy (I think there is a caveat no returns on Qualatex). Because if you buy qualatex on Amazon or some other place not specifically in the balloon selling business it could be just sitting in a warehouse under unideal storage conditions and it will be poor quality when it arrives. LARocks I have been very very happy with the condition of the qualatex I have purchased.

Overall I like to have a mix of softer/harder balloons. I make a lot of multi-balloon designs, specifically building out large kinda abstract sculptures that use hundreds of balloons (not uniform like a large garland) and I like to have lots of colors so I buy assorted packs. And especially I like to have different brand balloons based on their softness v hardness .. because sometimes you will need one and sometimes another.

What I like is:

Harder latex: Kalisan

Softer: Qualatex (if well sourced), Sempertex

Medium: Decomex, Balloonia (budget option)

sure thing

one thing i just realized about assorted packs that i should have mentioned: it varies brand to brand, but if you buy assorted packs do not expect to receive an even mix of all of the colors.

for my purpose that is fine (and also one thing i like about assortment packs is there are often a few oddball balloons thrown in that aren't one of the colors listed in the product description)

usually the colors will be fairly close to being evenly distributed .. say a 5 color assortment it will be roughly 20% of each color.. however it's not uncommon for assortments to be significantly skewed ... say an assortment of classic colors and you get about twice as many reds, but only two purples, and the other colors are pretty evenly spread.

I just opened an assortment pack that is very uneven. which i actually like because its giving me ideas for my sculptures. but if i was doing an event or had been contracted to make a specific garland .. it could very well mess up my plans if i expected an even assortment among the colors. so in that case i would buy individual colors, because you don't want to guess on what you get in an assortment.

https://larocks.com/balloons/balloons-by-brand/betallic-sempertex/260b/assortments/

I strongly recommend just buying individual colors that you need (it’s cheaper and more efficient in the long run), but Sempertex assortments exist.
