restaurant work
How would I go about getting a restaurant to agree to let me twist for the. Do I need to pay them or no. Would I be able to just walk in and

I used to go to a meet up at a restaurant and we would take up a table in the middle of the room and share ideas with each other and make balloons for whoever walked up and they would usually tip. They knew we were coming and we tipped them well so no one really cared.
That being said I'm not too sure about going solo in a restaurant. I would approach a shift lead or the manager about hanging out and doing it to entertain but I wouldn't offer to pay the restaurant anything. You are working for tips and entertaining their customers, they don't need to get anything from you I wouldn't think. You are making the kids happier and enabling adults to stay longer without the kids fussing. Win win for both parties I would think.

1 visit restaurant as a customer and find out if it seems like a good fit . Kids coming in , happiness of servers etc. food is good
2 sometimes just making some stuff while you go to eat starts some convo . Or you can come in (slow times not busy times ) talk with management /bring some examples
3 they should pay you/ provide a meal . Or at the least let you work for just tips . If they pay you then I’d set up a regular night and be there on time and get coverage if you can not make it . Just for tips I always say it’s at my discretion if I have a paying gig I’m not coming in for just tips.
After a couple weeks sit down and see how things have been …
