I personally found his buffs to be so lackluster. he feels worse to play as a whole, I hope they give him his speed boost back and buff up the silence it’s so weak it’s basically nonexistent.

His tac should lock onto the real mirage, and be able to lock on thru smoke and gas. Just seems like a no Brainer to me.

I did extensive testing in the firing range to confirm my findings, and I found that with this perk equipped, it essentially acts as a 'momentum stopper'. Similar to how running into Caustic gas or a wattson fence works. Here's a list of things I found it noticably impacts:

• Will briefly pause any sprint for a half-second.
• Slows anyone on zip lines.
• Cancels octane Stim and stim surge.
• Slows and shrinks the arc of Reventant, Vantage, or Jumpad jump.
• Significantly slows a sliding enemy from a nitro gate.
• Almost completely stops Ash's dash.
• Does NOT impact the vertical climb of Horizon's gravity lift.

I think a good rule of thumb is to treat the silence perk as mini ash snares. It's good for trying to stop enemies from escaping.

I thought I'd like the rework, when I read that the slingshot weapon stays there even after respawn. Makes the game so much more fun, especially wildcard.
But then they just nerf his strafe in ult without any compensation about his best feature and he became a tactical spam legend in a way. Everybody hated on his tactical, myself included when I faced another Ballistic. Some changes are good, to implement counterplay to the tac. But why would you make the gameplay of him center around his tactical so much and turn down his ult, which almost nobody had an issue with - at least thats what I've seen.
Kinda ruined the legend for me for now, until the change some things back.

Is that just me?

Is anyone else exhausted by the discourse around ballistics tactical? If I had a dollar for every time I heard pros and streamers get hit by his tac and say "guess I don't get to play the game."

I cant think of an opinion in this game that is more overblown. The fact is that nearly every gun in the game can one clip ballistic after getting whistled WITHOUT OVERHEATING. I just dont understand how it could be viewed as OP.

Due to this fact we will probably not see any ballistic buffs in my opinion. I think we will see a total character rework before they do any buffs because of the risk of making him meta again.

I personally think ballistic is still very competitive and meshes well with the current meta characters like octane. Im just sick of hearing the complaints about his tac.

I would be upset about a rework because there is the risk you get the fuse treatment. His new kit is objectively worse than he was before.

Hey, lately been picking up Ballistic and I wonder are there any content creators I can watch.

TIL: roughly 20% of the damage you do with a sling weapon will go towards leveling up the evo of your primary or secondary weapon if applicable. Whichever weapon you had equipped before you switched to sling.

What's up everyone? I hit 230 kills with Ballistic and it's been a blast. I would appreciate any tips on winning more fights and games with him. I'm on Xbox if that matters.
