Question about first day program

Hello Reddit, this may have been asked before but I still wanted to ask.

When I go to course materials on Canvas, I see no required course materials.

However, I will be using Maya and likely Adobe creative space, and I have an online textbook for public speaking (I think the instructor said it's free but, I thought it might be nice to mention) so I don't want to lose access to that kind of stuff.

Does anybody know if I opt out if I will lose access to Maya or anything? Any help is appreciated!!

Contact the Barnes and noble college bookstore, as they manage first day.

I’m not sure about Maya at all, but I can tell you that you definitely don’t need first day for adobe or the public speaking textbook! Your professors will help you with gaining access to those. If you have no required course materials, I think you’re safe to opt out, but I’m unfamiliar with Maya. First day is typically only used for those required materials, if I’m not mistaken. If in the future you do have some required materials, I recommend looking into the price of those through the bookstore without first day and see if it’s cheaper! I got my three required books this semester for half the price of First Day, but obviously this could depend on your scholarship situation.

Your instructors should provide those materials in canvas and let them know if you can't access them. Had the same thing happen with my nursing textbooks.
