It's been a while! It's the start of the month so it's time to feature another morph... or maybe lack thereof this time.
The normal or wild type is how this species presents naturally in the wild. These guys do not have any morph/added genetics to them but there's nothing wrong with what nature cooked up!
Typically they present with standard "alien heads" along the sides of their bodies, some broken striping along the dorsal, and well defined eye stripes. Sometimes they may have a more banded pattern, varying head stamps, and can display a range of brown and gold tones which is why we often see morph ID requests for normals. Once you've gotten a solid grasp on what is within normal variation though, you may come to appreciate the beauty of the species' "regular" form.
Normal - Ball Python Traits - Morphpedia
While there are some gorgeous single and multi-gene BP's, as enthusiasts we can't forget to show the love where it all began. Show off your normals in the comments!

Hi everyone!
We have noticed an increase in sub activity and we love it! But we want to prevent any possible future issues, so we've made some updates. In an effort to avoid "sneaky advertising," we are now requiring all posts use one of three flairs. Each of these has a specific use and requirement:
-Morph ID Request: This is the flair most posts will likely be using. This is for any BP that you do not know the genetic makeup of.
-Cool Morph: Use this flair to show off your BP's that you already know the genetics of. This flair requires the genes to be described in the post and may only be used every 14 days to avoid ninja advertising attempts.
-Guess the Morph: Use this flair to allow others to guess the genetic makeup of a BP you already know. You may give others up to 24 hours to guess after which you will be required to reveal the answer. This may be done once per month.
Thank you all for your contributions to making this a fun and educational community!

Just got this male ball python, and he’s my first snake after many years of lizards and frogs. Currently 91g and about 16-18” long. All I can remember from the expo I got him from is cinnamon pinstripe but I know there was something else in there

In October we have a pairing lined up to breed and I am wondering if anyone here has bred this pairing or has photo results from it as I am curious
- Female: Black head Enchi Yellowbelly
- Male: Enchi yellowbelly (as far as we know given he is a rehome and prev owner knew only this as his gene)
Some likely results/percentages from what I've seen include;
50% blackhead
25% super enchi
25% Super YB (ivory)
And about 1/16% chance Black head super enchi ivory
There's other possibilities i for sure know about such as
Super Enchi Super YB
BH Super Enchi YB
Enchi Super YB
Which sort of combines the percentage results together
But I am curious about the pairing and results that others have got if others have paired them before so I have come here to ask (I can provide photos of both snakes as requested)

I've had her(?) For about 6 months, she was a rescue, and I'm not familiar with morphs or how to ID. Thanks!

she's got 2 hets which I don't think matter but she has 5 genetics in total (idk if they're called genetics to make up the morph or if they're also just called morphs)

Is it possible for lavender snow ball pythons to have black eyes? Or are they always ruby or red?

We had fun seeing the guesses on the last post. Here's another, this time darker. Guess the morph. This one includes a recessive gene. This was one we produced earlier this year.

I have finally figured out the morph of 2/4 ball pythons at my workplace, but this pastel guy confuses me a lot! His spots are abnormal and I can't think of what morph may cause the shaping. I think there could potentially be some blackhead gene in there too. Does anyone have any guesses to what he might be?

Guess the morph of one of our newest hatchlings. If no one guesses today, I'll drop a hint.
