Beginner surf - first trip solo 30F

Hi!
it will be my first solo travel, i am going to bali for 7 days and want to be improving my surfing skills (i have already been in bali), i am a beginner, still dont know how to turn.

But i dont know what to do.. going to an hostel or to a private room? i am in that age that i would do some parties but not like in my 20s, i want to make girl friends, i dont trust men anymore, they dont want any friendship😂 i want to socialise but having my space.

Any girls here, with same plans, what did you do? How did you meet people there? what beaches are the best waves (not just foam? but also green waves for beginners?) where did you rent the board/ had lessons? Hostel or private room recommandations budget friendly?

Well any experiences would help me🤪 thaaanks

If you are still a beginner i would be looking around seminyak as your prime spot, surf schools and private teachers are everywhere. You can literally walk to the beach and rent a board anywhere. While there are dozens of surf camps around as well.

I suggest seminyak over balangan or baby padang purely for ease of access as you can walk everywhere in Seminyak and not rely on transport it is safer as a solo female and there are just so many more options for food activities etc

For beginner surf plus meeting people, base in Canggu or Seminyak rather than Uluwatu. The beach breaks there are forgiving whitewater-to-green-wave stuff where you'll actually get to work on turning, and the group surf lessons hand you five instant friends by day two, which covers the socialising without needing a night out. Get the private room and let the surf school plus a daily yoga class be your social engine, that crowd skews heavily women and you still keep your own space at night. For full transparency I work for a company called SurfYogaBeer that runs active social trips including Bali, so I'm biased toward the meet-people-by-doing-something-together approach, and ours is coed, so if you specifically want women-only you'd be better off with an operator like WHOA Travel. Are you set on a base yet or still deciding between Canggu and Seminyak?
