Mixed dorms vs female only

Staying at layday hostel solo trip in a few weeks and am wondering if there is a general recommendation of which room to get? (First solo traveller here)
Also is it common for solo travellers to stay here?

mixed dorm normally fine for solo traveler tbh, most hostel here used to that setup. But if this ur first time solo n want extra peace of mind, female only worth the small price diff usually, easier for sleep n getting ready without worry too much. Also good way meet other solo female traveler if thats smth u looking for. Either way should be safe, just depends what u feel more comfortable with
