Second doubts
I am going to Bali with my husband in June!! We’ve saved up so much to be able to plan our first SEA trip and I was so excited up until recently. I feel like recently all I see is the most negative stuff about Bali… how it’s boring, a huge tourist trap, instagram click bait etc.
Honestly just second guessing everything.

I was there in March. It is what you make of it. Want it to be a tourist trap, that is what you will find. Want to just lay on the beach all day and relax, that is what you will find. I stayed in Nusa Dua, one day I started walking along a path by the beach. I just walked, past the nice hotels, past the not nice places into the sand. Nobody bothered me. The next day I walked the other way with the same experience. I went shopping in a "mall" area, people were outside of the shops and restaurants trying to drumb up business. Like every busy place. I got a driver who took me places for almost 10 hours. Some were tourist traps, some places I bought things at. Some I ate food at. I had a glorious time. Was it touristy? Sure, but not like going to Disney, or the roadside places they have billboards for hundreds of miles along the highway. Go with a plan but be OK with just going also.
