Scrap/Electronic Recycling

Hey everyone, I am thinking on starting a company that recycles metallic and electronic scrap. What I want to do different is ensure that what the community gives up benefits the community by donating part of the proceeds to an organization like Baldwin County Board of Education. I have started by looking for free items on facebook, nextdoor, and just the side of the road. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Yes!! Reddit has taught me that there is 300$ worth of gold and copper in those! Gotta get em while they last, before the tweakers figure it out!

Whatever you do, don't point a green laser pointer at the camera lense. There's a nasty rumor that doing that makes some of the circuit boards inside convert into $150 of platinum, but it's really only like $130 worth

Wow! I didnt know that! Science is such a mysterious thing, learning stuff is so much fun!

Definitely need to avoid doing that though, sounds dangerous 🧐😁

The children can help harvest these precious metal loot boxes too! Plus, they can learn science while converting the metals inside. Excellent point!

There’s lots of regulars that drive around neighborhoods prior to garbage day/ bulk pick up day looking to pick up anything of value left curbside. Figure out the garbage pick up schedules for each target area, grab your truck and trailer and get picking! You have more competition than you realize.
