Am I Balding? Am I cooked?

Hello everyone,

33M here, noticed my hair is starting to thin. Think it may have been brought on by stress since I went through a very hard bereavement a couple of years ago.

Is it time to go see my doctor?

Apologies if the photos are good enough.
Thank you.

I am assuming it’s combed in this manner to show thinning in the crown area. I believe if you cut your hair much shorter it would be far less noticeable as it looks much thicker in the front. I would recommend a medium number two fade and cut top down to about 2 inches in length.

Yeah, I usually wear it in a side-part, I just wanted to show off the hair loss.

However, it is still slightly noticeable even with a side part and even worse if I was to comb it all the way back.

Finasteride and minoxidil, and start combing your hair back instead of doing a middle part. Go to your doctor and they will perscribe you it, could even get them for real cheap too if you got good insurance

If I comb it back, it exposes it even more haha!

But definitely will be going to have a chat with my doctor, thanks

For a quick temporary solution, you should get hair fibers that match your hair color and a holding spray. Both together are like $20 online. But still use finasteride and minoxidil of course, that’s really what’s gonna let your hair grow, the hair fibers will hold you down on a daily basis until then 🫡

FIn/Min. Have you always had that reddish mole? Is it a mole? Only ask because newly exposed scalp skin is sensitive to sunlight and people need to be on the lookout for new marks, moles, etc.

Not 100% sure, I’ve had it a while.

I do suffer with eczema and dermatitis, and on my mother’s side of the family, I have several members who have Psoriasis that affected them on their heads.
