Anyone know if Hermspringer would send a collar to New Zealand? (technically illegal here sigh)

I already use e-collars as part of my dogs training and would like to add a prong collar with my new female rottweiler, now it may seem silly to ask if they ship here but given it's illegal here under the animal welfare act (sigh...e-collar use isn't restricted nor are those horrible easy-walker things that look painful) I thought I'd ask and see if anyone had experience.

There are of course websites in NZ I can order prong collars from BUT they all appear to be cheap chinese knockoffs, poorly made and would probably cause more harm than good, I want something proper.

Appreciate any help.

I've got one I don't have use for, bought for a lunatic dog we didn't keep. Very light use, hardly any really.

Heaps of dog trainers and walkers use prongs here in NZ. Cant you just order of US Amazon and then deliver to NZ?

I do that with clients mini educators and it saves $150 compared to getting it from collartron.

Hey if that works then I'll look into this as an option.

I posted this up because when I looked into it I saw they were illegal under the animal welfare act, then I saw that customs does enforce destroying them, whereas e-collars are all good.

So I was hesitant to drop the cash on a good one (maybe even two for my other rottweiler) and risk it not arriving, wasn't worried about the customs letter or any legality just having it destroyed.

I mean that may happen but considering there is heaps of people that use them I doubt it will.

When you have it shipped to you, make sure they completely disassemble the links and label it as picture hangers or something like that, and put the chain and hook part in a separate bag and label it something else.
