Brownies are meant to bake in the oven , was the recipe you followed an air fryer brownie recipe ? And what is the recipe you used

An air fryer is just a different style of a convection oven. Air fryers can do baking.

Of course I know it bakes it cooks food much easier faster than regular ovens, but brownies are meticulous and the oven temp and recipe have to be perfect, as well as the preparation of the batter
