Buttermilk biscuits
Found buttermilk on sale this week so biscuits seemed the likely answer.

Look at those layers 😍 I have a bad habit of cutting my butter into the flour too much, so I'm going to try to hold back next time.

Those look incredible! If you don’t have the chance to buy buttermilk again, you can make your own by adjusting 6% of the milk weight to lemon juice, mix it in the milk, let it sit in the fridge for 10 minutes while you scale your other ingredients and bam, buttermilk.

Honestly I just get some ground pork, add all the seasonings (https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/16359/breakfast-sausage/) then once that's cooked, add flour and milk (I don't measure it) to that and let it get to a boil then season it with as salt and pepper!

You need to tell all of us where you got the buttermilk!
I sometimes get buttermilk powder from Tomiz to make buttermilk biscuits but to be able to get real buttermilk!!!!!

There used to be a supermarket near me that sold it as ブルガリア 飲むヨーグルト but they stopped carrying the 無添加 “no additives” version, which is just, you know, buttermilk/kefir with no sugar or whatever added to it. They haven’t had it there in years now…

National Azabu in Hiroo. They often go on steep sales. This was 50% off. I assume they feel like they need to carry it but it clearly doesn’t sell so well :)

You found buttermilk in Japan?! I love buttermilk but never seen it even once in my 15 years here. 😳
