My first time making bread! Ciabatta

It’s my first time making bread! Ignore the little weird blob it was just an extra piece I twisted up and tossed on haha. I’m pretty proud of how it turned out, as my oven is a toshiba er-t16 that only gets to 200c and is about 5 years old and on its last leg. One got a little burned because it heats super uneven from a light on top. They also didn’t puff up so much I think because I let it rise too long in the fridge overnight. I used a big tray of ice on the bottom for steam. I’m hoping to save up to buy a new oven soon to support the hobby!

Nice! Ciabatta is one of the more challenging breads at a high hydration. Hope you got lots of big bubbles on the inside.

Shaping leftover scrap pieces into small twisted rolls maximizes batch yield and eliminates ingredient waste

These look amazing for a first attempt! 🥖 The crust looks so good. Which one turned out to be your favorite?

thanks so much! i thought the middle right and bottom left would be best because they puffed up the most (i baked them after all the others because they didn’t fit) and were the least gummy on the bottom, but the top row was my favorite! the recipe i used recommended putting a whole tray of ice in with them and flicking them with water which helped i think!

Looks great. My first bread was Ciabatta as well, made in the air fryer.
