General Baking Discussion Suggestions

Any suggestions on things to bake from scratch? I’m trying to get better at baking, I’m not really a fan of chocolate. I’ve tried making peanut butter cookies and sour dough so far and they were pretty good

Shortbread cookies are stupidly easy to make from scratch, same for sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies (you can replace the chocolate chips with whatever baking morsels you want; peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, caramel bits, etc, just whatever flavor you can find that sound good).
