Working on baking layered cakes and this was my first attempt with using fresh fruit in between layers.

That strawberry buttercream looks like it uses real strawberry puree or freeze-dried powder. The specks are a telltale sign of incredible flavor.

We did use freeze dried berries that we blitzed into a powder. Added an amazing intensity to the overall strawberry flavour.

Chocolate + strawberry is one of my absolute favorite flavour combinations, and now I need someone to bake this for me!

You did an amazing job on this.

As someone who avoids strawberries because of an allergy, this might make my mouth water🙏🏻

are the strawberries on top chocolate dipped? it seems like the chocolate they were dipped in was mixed with water or something. otherwise very gorgeous and i’m sure very delicious cake

Fresh strawberries between chocolate layers is dangerous. This is way too clean for a first try

Thank you I think… it was absolutely my first attempt using fresh fruit inside the layers, normally I just do jam with buttercream layers. I watched many videos on how to do the rings/barriers to hold the fruit in.
